The World School is seeking an experienced Democratic or Sudbury School Teacher/Facilitator to act as a remote hourly consultant to help us to grow our new school. Duties will include providing operational assistance in setting up the new school.
Forest School Teacher (Dominican Republic)
The World School is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Year-Round Forest School Teachers, Democratic School Teacher/Facilitators, or teachers with Sudbury-type School experience to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children in an outdoor environment. Teaching this multi-age class in an outdoor environment includes observing and assessing class interests, planning and implementing lessons and coordinating activities that expand on current interests. Although The World School is a traveling school, and as such will have various locations throughout the year, some of our locations will remain constant while the students move on to other locations. The year-round program has 3 3-month trimesters each in a different location, with approximately a month break between each trimester. This permanent school will be based in the Dominican Republic. The typical school day will be from 9am - 2pm, with the youngest children leaving at noon. Expected start date is January 2020. Families Welcome!
Traveling Teacher

The World School is a TRAVELING school, and as such will have various locations throughout the year. The year-round program has 3 3-month trimesters each in a different location, with approximately a month break between each trimester. The expected locations for 2020 are Spain, Bali, and Italy, although these locations are open to change. The typical school day will be from 9am - 2pm, with the youngest children leaving at noon. Expected start date is January 2020. Families welcome!
Spring Break Session Leaders (Ireland)
The World School is seeking enthusiastic Forest School Teachers ,Democratic School Teacher/Facilitators, or teachers with Sudbury-type school experience for Spring Break Session in Ireland, in April of 2020, to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children in an experiential educational setting. The World School is a TRAVELING school, and we partner with various organizations for educational courses. The spring break programs will be two one week sessions and one two week session, for one month in total. For 2020 the spring break sessions will be in Ireland. An Irish resident is preferred. Leader will also be expected to act as liaison and point of contact for traveling families. Families Welcome!
Summer Session Leaders (Spain and/or Italy)
The World School is seeking enthusiastic Forest School Teachers ,Democratic School Teacher/Facilitators, or teachers with Sudbury-type school experience for Summer Sessions for the Summer of 2020, to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children in an outdoor environment. Teaching this multi-age class in an outdoor environment includes observing and assessing class interests, planning and implementing lessons and coordinating activities that expand on current interests. The World School is a TRAVELING school, and as such we have various locations throughout the year. The summer programs will have varying lengths from one week to one month. For 2020 the summer session is expected to be in Italy, although this location is open to change. The typical school day will be from 9am - 2pm, with the youngest children leaving at noon.
